I was wondering whether I wanted to go see Fahrenheit 9/11, Michael Moore’s ‘expose’ of America, Bush II, and all things western, so I decided to do some checking up on it.

Swiss Lock versus Formica Laminate Flooring
In this post, I talked about the travails of installing defective laminate flooring.
I am feeling a LOT better about it now. We ripped up all the old new flooring - Swiss Lock laminate - returned it, and came home with the new new flooring: Formica laminate. Much better!

So, as the whole world knows by now, Dave Winer, one of the pioneers of blogging, shut down weblogs.com without any notice.
While it was great of him to provide free hosting for as long as he did, and while he’s been a huge benefactor of the blogging community in many ways, this is nasty and stupid.
There was a much better option …
Microsoft License Insanity
I just bought VirtualPC with Windows XP for my Mac (groan). I need to be able to support clients who are using PCs.
The install was not too bad, but the most unfriendly part of the install came from an odd source: the license that Microsoft has put on both Virtual PC and WinXP. When installing Virtual PC, the installer, naturally, asked for a license code.
The Death of the NHL Superstar
The biggest issue in hockey today is killing the trap - the grinding, defensive mode of playing that results in boring, slow games.
The trap also results in low-scoring games. And the result is that it has killed hockey’s superstars.
Kid’s Jokes ….
Gabrielle, my 7 year old daughter, is in the stage where she loves word play jokes (yes it can be rather trying at times.)
